About Ticklers – Each tickler has three basic components: a Date, a Prompt, and an Action.

  1. Tickler Prompt: A tickler prompt is a question or a reminder statement that will appear on the Daily Tickler screen and the Tickler Report. The following actions can be performed for a Tickler Prompt:

  1. Tickler Action: Documents or User Instructions can be automatically generated as a result of Tickler processing on the Daily Tickler screen. When the user answers ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to a tickler prompt and then clicks the ‘Do IT’ button, the specified Tickler Action is carried out. The ‘Condition’ field determines which user response will trigger the action. The ‘Sequence’ field controls the order that Instructions will be displayed in the case there are multiple instruction records for a given Tickler Prompt. The ‘Document’ field specifies the ePITS document name that will be displayed for the Tickler Action. This field should be left blank to display Instructions. The ‘Instruction’ field holds the text that will be displayed for the Tickler Action if the ‘Document’ field is left blank.
